Off the island, on to color that lasts
Fort Myers Beach clients tend to come to us for the appointments that need a full afternoon and a real consultation — not the ones a quick island trim covers. The drive off the bridge is short enough to make that trade an easy one.

What holds up against salt and sun
Color by the Canterbury & Co. team is formulated with Wella Professionals, and the team is certified in the Wella Pro+ SmoothFiller smoothing treatment — useful on the humidity and salt-air frizz island living adds to the usual Florida list. Bumble and bumble. lists us as a Bb.Exclusive Salon, an authorized stockist of its full range.
What island clients book
Mostly the color and extension work that rewards a longer, unhurried appointment: hand-painted balayage, color correction, and hand-matched extensions fitted by our certified specialists. Bring the salt and sun exposure into the consultation — it changes the maintenance plan more than the formula.
Finding us from Fort Myers Beach
San Carlos Boulevard off the island, then Summerlin Road east to Daniels Parkway, and Daniels to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway south to Alico Road — Gulf Coast Town Center sits right at the interchange, with free parking outside suite F135. Off-season and outside peak beach hours it is a straightforward 25 to 30 minutes; give the Matanzas Pass bridge more room on a busy summer or spring-break afternoon.
How the run off the beach looks
The island runs long north to south, so the honest drive time depends more on which end you start from than on the address itself.
North end — Bowditch Point & Times Square
San Carlos Boulevard off the island, then Summerlin Road to Daniels Parkway east to Ben Hill Griffin Parkway. About 25–30 minutes off-season; add time crossing the Matanzas Pass bridge in the middle of a summer or spring-break day.
Mid-island — near the pier
Estero Boulevard up to San Carlos Boulevard, then the same run east on Summerlin to Daniels Parkway. Roughly 30 minutes with light bridge traffic.
South end — near Lovers Key
Estero Boulevard north to San Carlos Boulevard, or Big Carlos Pass to San Carlos Island if that bridge suits your afternoon better. Either way, plan on 30–35 minutes to Alico Road.
The questions worth asking first

Planning a first visit? See the salon at Gulf Coast Town Center for parking, hours and exactly where suite F135 sits, or read what to expect as a new client before you book.
How far is Canterbury & Co. from Fort Myers Beach?
About 25 to 35 minutes, depending on where on the island you start and what the Matanzas Pass bridge is doing that day. Off-season and outside peak beach traffic, it is closer to 25.
Is it worth leaving the island for a haircut or color?
For a quick trim, probably not. Clients who make the drive are usually after something a beach-town salon schedule does not always have room for — a full color consultation, hand-painted balayage, or hand-matched extensions with a certified specialist — and are happy to trade a short drive for an unhurried appointment.
Does salt air and sun change how you formulate color?
It changes how long it lasts more than how it is mixed, and island clients feel that faster than most. We talk through UV and salt exposure at the consultation — we have written more on the subject in why Florida changes hair.
Where exactly are you, and is parking easy?
Suite F135 at Gulf Coast Town Center, 10029 Gulf Center Dr, Fort Myers — off I-75 at the Alico Road exit. Parking is free throughout the center, usually a short walk from our door.
