Permission granted

Switching salons?

Plenty of our favorite clients arrived feeling vaguely guilty about leaving somewhere else. You don't owe anyone an explanation — hair is personal, needs change, and a good stylist anywhere would tell you the same. You will never hear a word against your previous salon in our chairs. We wrote a whole guide to switching without the awkwardness if the guilt needs more talking down. New to the area altogether, or down for the season? Start with how to find your salon here.

What to bring

Photos of your hair lately — good days and bad days both — and inspiration photos, even imperfect ones. If you know your color history, bring what you can: when it was last colored, roughly what was done, any box dye (no judgment, truly). And if you don't know it? That's completely fine. It simply means we test before we commit, which we'd rather do anyway.

What your first consultation actually does

We listen first — your hair's history, your routine, what you actually want. Where color history is uncertain, a strand test finds out how your hair really behaves before anything touches your whole head. Then you get an honest plan: sometimes that's one appointment, and sometimes the honest plan is staged — especially if you're arriving with color that needs correcting. Either way, you'll know before anything is mixed.
