On Sunday, November 1, at 3pm, Canterbury & Co. Salon will host
Angles In Motion: The @waynetugglehair Experience, a haircutting class
taught by Wayne Tuggle. Hattori Hanzo Shears presents it as part of
Wayne’s Cutting Tour.
Hattori Hanzo describes its classes as cutting education for salons and
schools, so this is a class rather than a client appointment. It also falls
on a Sunday, when the salon is normally closed.
What the class is
Hattori Hanzo Shears sells Japanese-steel hair shears to licensed
cosmetologists and barbers. It also brings cutting education into salons
and schools, and says it runs more than 3,000 haircutting classes a year.
Its class list shows the same class at stops in Illinois in October and in
several Florida cities in early November, Fort Myers among them.
On Instagram, Wayne says he helps hairstylists cut with confidence through
Angles In Motion, which he describes as simple geometry. Hanzo’s artist
profile calls his cutting system simple, methodical and fast. The session
Hanzo presented with him at Be+Well New York in March was billed as
simplifying hard haircutting through moving angles, toward precise,
practical everyday cuts.
Who Wayne Tuggle is
Wayne is a Hattori Hanzo artist and educator based in Winston-Salem, North
Carolina, and he has been cutting hair since 1991. He taught at IBS New
York in 2025, and Hanzo’s press kit also lists America’s Beauty Show among
his education events. He posts his cutting work on Instagram as
@waynetugglehair, the handle
the class is named after.
How to register
Hattori Hanzo runs registration, not the salon. Sign up on Hanzo’s page for
this class:
Angles In Motion at Canterbury & Co., Fort Myers.
It asks for your name, email address and cell phone number.
The flyer’s QR code opens the same page. Typing hanzo.com/edu on its own
will not bring up this class, so the link above is the one to use. For
questions about the class itself, call Hattori Hanzo on the number shown on
its class page.
The class is at our salon, 10029 Gulf Center Dr. F135, Fort Myers, FL
33913, at Gulf Coast Town Center. There is parking right outside our door,
and our location page has directions.
Education on our own team
Our founder,
Alli Canterbury, spent years as a Wella Professionals
color educator, traveling the US to train fellow stylists. Bumble and bumble. lists us as a Bb.Exclusive
Salon, and the team
trains on its full range.
If you are a client, you can meet the stylists behind those credentials on
our team page, and see how we approach cuts, restyles and trims
on our haircuts page.
If you are a hair stylist who would like to train beside our team, our
careers page is the place to start.
Details of the class come from Hattori Hanzo Shears’ website, class page
and flyer. Wayne’s background comes from Hanzo’s artist profile and press
kit, his Instagram profile and IBS New York’s 2025 schedule, and the
Be+Well description from that show’s 2026 program.
